Micropress® Hair

What is Bioprai MicroPress Hair?

Bioprai MicroPress is a new technology with micro-needles that are gently pressed into the scalp.

Bioprai MicroPress Hair is used together with Bioprai Hair Growth Serum to achieve maximum effectiveness against hair loss and to promote new hair growth.

MicroPress Hair is available in two versions:

MicroPress Hair 1.00 mm - simplicity

MicroPress Hair 1.00 mm is a highly effective applicator that contains 20 small needles integrated into a small bottle. The size of the needles is ideal for most people who want to stimulate the scalp. This smart applicator can be filled with Bioprai hair growth serum before treatment.

Note: This applicator should only be used once as the needles lose their sharpness and effectiveness after use.

MicroPress Hair Adjustable - flexibility

MicroPress Hair Adjustable is an applicator with 140 microneedles, with a depth adjustable from 0 to 3 mm. It is used to stimulate the scalp and, in combination with Bioprai hair growth serum, can promote hair growth and reduce hair loss.

The applicator can be reused if cleaned properly. After use, it should first be washed with water and then disinfected in 75% alcohol for at least 10 minutes.

Note: We do not recommend reusing the MicroPress Hair Adjustable more than twice as the effectiveness of the needles decreases over time.

Why should I choose Bioprai MicroPress Hair over MicroNeedling or Derma rollers?

Microneedling can be painful and difficult to control, which can lead to unwanted damage to the skin. Derma rollers tend to tear the skin and pull out small hairs, which can leave scars and cause further damage or hair loss.

Bioprai MicroPress Hair allows you to adjust the pace and pressure, ensuring a more gentle and controlled treatment. The technology allows you to start with 0.1 mm and gradually work up to 1.0 mm, depending on your needs. Together with Bioprai Natural Hair Growth Stimulating Serum, you achieve optimal results without unnecessary discomfort or damage.

What does Bioprai MicroPress Hair do?

Bioprai MicroPress hair loss treatment works by stimulating the scalp and hair follicles to promote hair growth. The process involves gently pressing tiny microneedles into the scalp, leaving microscopic holes that trigger the body's natural healing process.

Advantages:

  • Increases blood circulation: Small holes in the skin increase blood flow, which improves nutrient and oxygen supply to the hair follicles.
  • Stimulates collagen production: The treatment promotes the production of collagen, which strengthens hair follicles and healthy tissue.
  • Improved absorption: The microscopic holes improve the absorption of topical treatments like Bioprai Hair Growth Stimulating Serum.
  • Reducing inflammation: The treatment can reduce inflammation, which is often associated with hair loss.

Note: Results may vary depending on skin type and the cause of hair loss.

Who can use Bioprai MicroPress Hair treatment?

Anyone who wants fuller and healthier hair can use the Bioprai MicroPress Hair treatment.

Who should avoid MicroPress Hair treatment?

The following people should avoid MicroPress Hair treatment:

  • People with skin infections or active skin conditions such as psoriasis or eczema.
  • Those with weakened immune systems.
  • Pregnant or breastfeeding women (due to limited research on safety).
  • People with a tendency to blood clots or who are taking blood-thinning medication.
  • People with severe scalp infection.
How often should I treat with Bioprai MicroPress Hair?

  4. Press several times all over the treatment area until you experience a slight warmth and redness.
  5. Then let the scalp rest and avoid direct sun, saunas and swimming pools for at least 24 hours.
  6. Massage your scalp with Bioprai Hair Growth Serum every day.
  7. Repeat the treatment every week for four months, then once monthly for maintenance.

What should I do if I don't like having my head pricked, but would like to be treated with MicroPress?

You can apply a numbing cream to the treatment areas 15-20 minutes before the MicroPress treatment. Numbing creams are available at the pharmacy.

Why should I use MicroPress Hair once a week and massage Bioprai Hair Growth serum into my scalp every day?

Regular use of MicroPress stimulates the scalp and hair roots, preparing them for effective absorption of the serum. Daily massage with Bioprai Hair Growth Serum increases blood circulation and promotes healthy hair growth.

Can I share the MicroPress Hair Applicator with other family members?

No, MicroPress Hair should not be shared as it increases the risk of infection and transmission of bacteria. Each person should use their own MicroPress.

Are all Bioprai products organic and/or vegan?

Bioprai places great emphasis on natural care and health. That is why we have used organic and vegan ingredients in all our products wherever possible. However, there are certain cases where this has not been possible. The packaging clearly states whether the product is made from 100% organic and/or vegan ingredients.

Can I use Bioprai products if I have allergies and eczema?

We have tested all our products on people with very sensitive skin, severe allergies, eczema and psoriasis without observing any negative reactions. The founder of Bioprai has tested and used the products herself for years before they were tested by others. She herself has struggled with allergies, eczema and psoriasis since childhood.

As with all other skin care products, if you are very unfortunate to experience a negative reaction, wash it off immediately and consult your doctor.

How hard should I press with Bioprai MicroPress?

The Bioprai MicroPress applicator is designed to be easy and safe to use.

The small needles at the lid of the MicroPress bottle come in four different sizes to suit different purposes and needs.

You cannot press deeper than the length of the needles.

With the smart technology and Bioprai Perfect Booster Face serum, collagen production and the skin's natural healing process are stimulated.

Gently press in and out of the treatment area about 10-15 times WITHOUT scratching to avoid damage.

Remember to read the instructions for use carefully, and you can look forward to good results day after day.

Why are Bioprai Face serums better than others for treating with MicroPress?

Bioprai Face serums are better than others for treating with MicroPress because they are specially designed to support the skin's healing process, brighten the skin, smooth it, and reduce wrinkles and blemishes.

Bioprai serums are natural, without dyes, hormone disruptors, perfumes or chemicals. In addition, they are Danish-produced and suitable for all skin types.

Does MicroPress treatment hurt?

You can feel it as you prick the skin.

You can buy local anesthetic cream over the counter at the pharmacy.

The skin will be warm and slightly red immediately after the treatment, but the organic Bioprai Aloe Vera face mask helps to reduce and eliminate redness almost immediately. The face mask is designed to soothe and heal the skin.

What can I do if the thought of small needles puts me off?

You can buy a local anesthetic cream - often called 'magic cream' - over the counter at the pharmacy.

You can find a variety of topical numbing creams that can be used before MicroPress treatments. Some common options include products with ingredients like lidocaine or prilocaine, which can help reduce discomfort or pain during the procedure. It’s a good idea to ask your pharmacist for recommendations based on your specific needs and skin type.

You should spread the cream on the skin approx. 20 minutes before treatment.

It is then also recommended to use 75% alcohol pads before starting the MicroPress treatment to ensure that the skin is properly disinfected.

What makes MicroPress treatment so popular?

Bioprai MicroPress treatment has gained immense popularity for several reasons.

MicroPress improves the appearance and texture of the skin, resulting in a more even and healthy complexion.

The treatment is minimally invasive, unlike more aggressive skin treatments such as laser resurfacing or botox.

This means a shorter healing time and less risk of complications.

Our products help reduce wrinkles, fine lines, redness, pigmentation changes, acne scars and stretch marks.

MicroPress treatments are very versatile and can be used almost anywhere on the body, including the face, neck, hands and even on delicate areas like under the eyes.

MicroPress is effective in treating all types of acne scars, even severely affected areas with old scars and thickened skin.

Do you have any tips and recommendations for getting a fresh, youthful and beautiful glow in your skin?
  • Try to avoid direct sunlight as it can damage your skin.
  • Remember to use facial sunscreen every day year-round, preferably after applying Bioprai Perfect Serum.
  • Eat a healthy and varied diet to nourish your skin from within.
  • Drink plenty of water, about a liter a day, to keep your skin hydrated.
  • Pamper your skin with Bioprai organic Aloe Vera and honey face mask at least twice a week.
  • Try Bioprai MicroPress treatment every three weeks, or every three months for maintenance.
  • Remember to massage your face 1-2 times a day (morning and evening every day). Massage your forehead, around your eyes, cheeks and near your mouth to stimulate blood circulation and activate the small muscles in your face.
  • Remember to enjoy the little things in life and be grateful - it can really give your skin an extra glow.
Can everyone use and benefit from Bioprai MicroPress treatment?

Although MicroPress treatment is generally safe and well-tolerated, it may be unsuitable for certain individuals:

- People who take certain types of medication, e.g. blood thinners.
- People who have an active outbreak of a virus, e.g. Herpes. We recommend waiting to treat the sores after the virus has completely disappeared.
- Pregnant women.
- People with active skin infections.

As with any cosmetic treatment, it is crucial to consult a trusted and professional skin care professional or dermatologist to determine if MicroPress is the right solution for you.

Follow our instructions for use to avoid infection and get maximum effectiveness.

What should I be aware of after MicroPress treatment?

The first 24 hours:
- Use cold water and cotton pads to wash your face.
- Avoid concealer, make-up, foundation.
- Remember sunscreen and a hat when you go out -- even if it's cloudy.
- Avoid drinking alcohol, do not go to the sauna, do not swim in the indoor pool, swimming pool or harbour bath.
- As soon as your skin no longer feels hot, you can take a short shower. Immediately after the treatment, it may feel uncomfortable to have hot water on your face - and wherever else you have treated your skin.

Why can't I use make-up or drink alcohol right after a MicroPress treatment?

After a MicroPress treatment, it is important to let your skin rest and recover, especially in the first 24 hours. Makeup and alcohol can irritate the skin and delay the healing process.

Why does my face become red or hot right after a MicroPress treatment?

The skin may appear slightly red and sensitive, similar to a mild sunburn, because the small needles from MicroPress prick the skin several times to stimulate the skin.

These microscopic punctures trigger the skin's natural healing process, stimulate collagen production and promote cell renewal. The result is improved skin texture, reduced scars, fine lines, wrinkles and a rejuvenated and youthful complexion.

Healing time varies from person to person, but typically lasts 24 hours. It is important to follow the aftercare instructions to ensure optimal results.

How many times do I need to treat myself with MicroPress to see results?

It's hard to say. It depends on the problem, but you will be able to see and feel the result after the first treatment.

  • If you use MicroPress 0.25 mm you can repeat the treatment every week.
  • If you use MicroPress 0.50 mm you can repeat the treatment every 2 weeks.
  • If you use MicroPress 0.60 mm or 1.00 mm you can repeat the treatment every 3 weeks.

You can continue as many times as you want until you are satisfied with your result.

Once you are satisfied with the result, we recommend a maintenance treatment every month.

We recommend that you continue to use Bioprai Perfect serum every day morning and evening. Also use Bioprai Face Mask once a week.

Can I treat myself every day or every other day with MicroPress?

No, it is not recommended as the skin needs time to heal between treatments.

However, you can use Bioprai serum every day, both morning and evening.

In addition, you can supplement with Bioprai Aloe Vera and Honey Face Mask as often as possible.

How often can I use Bioprai Aloe Vera and Honey Face mask?

You can use Bioprai Aloe Vera and Honey Face Mask every day to soothe your skin and give it an energy boost.

If it is difficult to find time for a daily routine, using the mask about once a week is sufficient.

We recommend using the mask before bed, as it both helps your skin and helps you relax after a long day.

What should I be aware of to avoid infection during treatment with MicroPress?

You must be clean, i.e. wash your face, preferably in the shower, and wash your hands thoroughly. Make sure to treat yourself correctly according to our instructions for use.

Can I use the MicroPress applicator multiple times?

We do not recommend using MicroPress more than once because you risk getting an infection and the tiny needles will not remain as sharp as the first time. This can damage the skin, especially for those who are prone to scarring or keloid formation.

If you still want to use your MicroPress again, you should rinse your MicroPress very thoroughly with water and then leave it completely covered in 75% liquid alcohol for at least 10 minutes. You can then let it air dry.

Can I share my used MicroPress applicator with others?

No, you absolutely must not. Sharing your used MicroPress applicator with others may increase the risk of infection or transmission of diseases.

It is best to use a new applicator to ensure hygiene.

Remember to dip MicroPress in 75% liquid alcohol for 10 minutes and wait 2 minutes before use.

Why can't I use a needle roller or microneedling roller that I can buy cheaply online?

Because needle rollers can do more harm than good to your skin.

If you test a needle roller on a banana and imagine that the banana is your skin, you will see what the banana looks like after rolling the needles back and forth or up and down 10-15 times. The skin is completely damaged and peeled. This can create small scratchy scars on the surface of the skin and lead to keloid formation.

Watch our video, which demonstrates that MicroPress is gentle on the skin.

Why do I need a specific MicroPress size?

Our research shows that people who have never tried using needles before can be scared by the thought of getting their skin pricked.

Therefore, we recommend that everyone starts with MicroPress 0.25 mm.

Once your skin is used to being pricked with MicroPress, you can move on to 0.50 mm, 0.60 mm and 1.0 mm.

If you struggle with deep acne scars, deep wrinkles and blemished skin, we recommend that you quickly move on to MicroPress 0.50 mm and 0.60 mm. After that, we recommend that you use 1.00 mm until you are completely satisfied with the result.

For maintenance you can then use MicroPress 0.50 or 0.60 mm.

Can children use Bioprai MicroPress treatment?

No. MicroPress treatment is not recommended for children under 18 years of age.

Why isn't the color always the same, and why doesn't it always smell the same?

The natural explanation is that we neither dye nor bleach our products. We use only natural ingredients, which can vary in color depending on harvest and processing. At Bioprai, we do not add synthetic dyes, which means that the products appear in the colors that the natural raw materials provide. Since none of our raw materials are completely clear from nature, our serum is never completely clear either.

Our serums smell naturally because we do not add synthetic fragrances or preservatives. All our products are perfume-free, and the scent therefore comes naturally from the various raw materials used in production.

After opening, the consistency may become slightly more concentrated and the natural scent may become slightly more pronounced.

What does vitamin C do for the skin?

Vitamin C is one of the most popular vitamins in skin care. It is primarily a powerful antioxidant that strengthens the skin and reduces fine lines and pigmentation. The vitamin stimulates the formation of collagen and increases cell renewal.

What does vitamin E do for the skin?

Antioxidants:
Vitamin E protects the skin from damage caused by free radicals and environmental stressors such as pollution and UV radiation.

Humidifier:
It helps retain skin moisture, making it soft and supple.

Anti-inflammatory:
Vitamin E can reduce inflammation and help relieve skin irritation and redness.

Wound healing:
It promotes the healing process and can help reduce the appearance of scars.

The skin's barrier function:
Vitamin E strengthens the skin's natural barrier, helping to prevent moisture loss and protect against harmful substances.

What does Bioprai Aloe Vera face mask do for my skin?

Bioprai Aloe Vera face mask should be used right after MicroPress treatment because it is specially designed to soothe the skin.

The mask helps to cool, moisturize, promote the healing process, and reduce swelling and redness, leaving the skin feeling softer and more relaxed after the treatment.

What does Bioprai Honey Face Mask do for my skin?

Bioprai Honey Face Mask is ideal for your skincare routine. It should be used the day after the MicroPress treatment because the properties of honey help to moisturize and soften the skin, while nourishing and soothing it.

Honey also helps prevent acne and blemished skin.

Use it daily or a few times a week for maintenance.

What does HA (Hyaluronic acid) do for my skin?

Hyaluronic acid facial serum is very beneficial for the skin, especially due to its ability to bind water.

Hyaluronic acid can bind up to 1000 times its own weight in water, which means it is excellent for hydrating and moisturizing the skin.

This helps keep skin plump, smooth and youthful, while reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

Additionally, hyaluronic acid can also help soothe the skin and promote healing, making it suitable for all skin types, including sensitive and dry skin.

What do Vitamin C and E and Damask rose water and oil do for my skin?

Vitamins C and E, as well as Damask rose water and oil, have several benefits for the skin:

  • Vitamin C
Antioxidant: Protects the skin from damage from free radicals and UV radiation.
Collagen Production: Promotes the formation of collagen, which improves skin elasticity and reduces fine lines. Brightens skin tone: Helps reduce hyperpigmentation and provides a more even skin tone.
  • Vitamin E
Moisturizer. Helps keep skin hydrated by strengthening the skin's natural barrier.
Heals the skin: Promotes healing of injuries and scars.
  • Antioxidant: Protects against damage from free radicals and environmental stressors.
  • Damask rose water
Soothing: Soothes irritated and sensitive skin.
Moisturizing: Adds moisture and refreshes the skin.
    Anti-inflammatory: Reduces redness and swelling.
  • Damask rose oil
Nourishing: Rich in vitamins and fatty acids that nourish and regenerate the skin.
Antibacterial: Fights bacteria and prevents acne breakouts.
Anti-aging: Improves skin texture and reduces signs of aging. These ingredients work together to improve skin health, appearance and protect against damage.
Why should I avoid the sun after MicroPress treatment?

During the healing period, it is important to avoid direct sunlight as the skin is more sensitive to UV damage after the procedure. Using sunscreen and protective clothing can help protect the skin during this time. Gentle skin care products that do not contain harsh chemicals or irritants are also recommended to promote healing and prevent adverse reactions.

Keeping the skin moisturized is essential to support the healing process and maintain skin hydration. Moisturizing creams with soothing ingredients such as aloe vera or hyaluronic acid can be particularly beneficial, so you should use Bioprai Perfect Booster, Perfect Repair and Bioprai Aloe Vera and Honey Face mask to support the skin during the healing process.

Is the sun dangerous?

Yes, the sun can be dangerous for the skin, which is why it is important to use sun protection year-round or every morning. Here are some reasons:

  • UV radiation
The sun's UV radiation can cause skin damage, even on cloudy days and in winter. UV-A radiation can penetrate deep into the skin and contribute to aging, while UV-B radiation can cause sunburn and damage to the surface of the skin.
  • Skin cancer
Prolonged exposure to UV radiation increases the risk of skin cancer, including melanoma, which is the most dangerous form of skin cancer.
  • Premature aging
UV radiation can break down collagen and elastin in the skin, leading to wrinkles, fine lines, and loss of elasticity.
Hyperpigmentation: Sun damage can cause dark spots and uneven skin tone.
  • Eye injuries
UV radiation can also damage the eyes and increase the risk of cataracts and other eye problems. By using sunscreen daily, you can protect your skin from these harmful effects and maintain healthy, youthful skin.
Can I still get a tan even if I wear sunscreen?

Yes, you can still get a tan even if you use sunscreen. It just takes a little longer, but you also reduce the risk of getting sunburned, developing skin cancer, and getting wrinkles at an early age.

Why use sunscreen?

By using sunscreen, you not only protect your skin from immediate damage like sunburn, but also from long-term consequences like skin cancer and premature aging.

Sunscreen works by protecting against the harmful ultraviolet (UV) radiation from the sun.

There are two types of UV radiation
UVA and UVB. UVB radiation causes sunburn, while UVA radiation penetrates deeper into the skin and contributes to aging and wrinkles.

Prevents skin cancer
Regular use of sunscreen significantly reduces the risk of skin cancer. UV radiation can damage the DNA of skin cells, which can lead to cancer.

Prevents premature aging
UVA radiation can break down collagen and elastin in the skin, leading to wrinkles and loss of skin elasticity. Sunscreen helps maintain the skin's youthful appearance by blocking these harmful rays.

Reduces the risk of sunburn
Sunburn can be painful and damaging to the skin. Using sunscreen can help reduce your risk of getting sunburned.

Prevents impure skin
Sun damage can lead to inflammatory reactions in the skin, which can worsen the condition of blemishes and acne. Sunscreen helps protect the skin from this damage.

What are UVA, UVB and SPF?

What are UVA, UVB and SPF?

UVA and UVB
Sunscreen (or sunscreen) is designed to protect the skin from harmful ultraviolet (UV) radiation from the sun.

There are two main types of UV radiation that can affect the skin: UVA and UVB.
- UVA radiation: This type of UV radiation penetrates deeper into the skin and is responsible for skin aging and the formation of wrinkles. UVA rays can also contribute to skin cancer.
- UVB radiation: UVB rays are responsible for sunburn and play a major role in the development of skin cancer. UVB rays affect the outer layers of the skin.

Sun protection factor (SPF)
Sunscreen comes with an SPF (Sun Protection Factor), which indicates how well the product protects against UVB rays. The SPF number indicates how many times longer you can stay in the sun without getting burned compared to if you were not wearing sunscreen.
- SPF 15: Blocks approximately 93% of UVB rays.
- SPF 30: Blocks approximately 97% of UVB rays.
- SPF 50: Blocks approximately 98% of UVB rays.
- SPF 100: Blocks approximately 99% of UVB rays.
It is important to note that no sunscreen can block 100% of UVB rays. Furthermore, a higher SPF only provides marginally better protection, but lasts longer and can be more robust in extreme conditions.

UVA protection
UVA protection is not measured by SPF, but many sunscreens offer broad-spectrum protection, meaning they protect against both UVA and UVB rays. To make sure you're getting protection from both types of rays, look for sunscreens that are labeled "broad-spectrum protection."

Use and Effectiveness
The effectiveness of sunscreen also depends on correct application:
- Use a sufficient amount (about a handful for the entire body).
- Apply sunscreen 15-30 minutes before sun exposure.
- Reapply every two hours, or more often if you sweat a lot or swim.
- Make sure to cover all exposed areas, including ears, neck and feet.

Even with sunscreen, it is important to take other precautions such as staying in the shade, wearing protective clothing, and avoiding the sun during the most intense hours of the day.

Why is Bioprai not certified by the known labeling schemes?

Bioprai is a small company with limited funds to pay for official certifications, such as the Nordic Ecolabel, the Allergy Label, the Organic Label, the V-label (V-Label, vegan label) or the COSMOS label.
We are very dedicated and work hard to achieve the best results that work for ourselves, our loved ones and our many customers.

All of our serums are developed in close collaboration with our Danish partner laboratory and manufacturer.
Our serums are free of dyes, perfumes and endocrine disruptors, and we comply with the EU's 26 allergen regulations.

We place great emphasis on organic and vegan ingredients and do everything we can to keep our products pure and natural. However, our Perfect Smooth serum is not 100% organic and vegan. If possible, we will change the formulation.

What are allergens?

Allergens are substances that can cause allergic reactions in sensitive people. The EU list includes 26 allergens.

Bioprai does not use any of the 26 allergens, neither in Bioprai face serum nor Bioprai hair growth serum, so you can use our products with peace of mind.

Does Bioprai use parabens?

No, Bioprai chooses to avoid parabens completely to be on the safe side.

Parabens are chemical substances used as preservatives in cosmetics to prevent bacterial and fungal growth.

There are divided opinions about their safety. Some believe that only certain parabens are harmful, while others recommend avoiding them altogether. The EU's scientific committee has assessed that methyl and ethyl paraben are safe in permitted amounts.

Why is the color not always the same?

Are you wondering why the color of your serums can vary? The natural explanation is that we neither dye nor bleach our products. At the same time, we use natural ingredients, which, depending on harvesting and processing, can vary in color from time to time.
